In 2008, my company Kunoichi Inc. acquired Eisner Award winning comic book and graphic novel publisher Archaia Studios Press, to which I served as Creative Director. Archaia was already renown in the comics industry for auteur titles like Artesia, Okko, and the bestselling Mouse Guard. Following the acquisition, Archaia now had the financial stability to expand the product line and bridge new publishing agreements. Titles like The Killer, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Fraggle Rock, The Storyteller, Tale of Sand, Return of The Dapper Men, and new volumes of Mouse Guard brought Archaia new awards, global sales, and a pantheon of powerful creators telling compelling stories.
